Cheryl Whiteley Driscoll, the strongest, most quick-witted person we knew, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 23, 2017, at the young age of 65. Cheryl was born May 29, 1952, in Ogden to Lawrence and LaRue Whiteley, the oldest of three kids and was raised in South Ogden. She married Del Driscoll December 9, 1979, and they had three children together - Michael, Stephanie, and Megan.
Mom was kind, yet fiery. If she loved you, you felt blessed beyond words, but she was also a force to be reckoned with. She loved spoiling her family and always knew the coolest gadgets and gizmos that nobody would ever think of, but you couldnt end up living without. She was intelligent and complex and loving and supportive. Cheryl taught her kids to be open-minded and to see the bigger picture in every interaction and every situation. She always had an opinion and she wasnt afraid to tell anyone what that was. She would often tell us everyone is just trying to get where theyre going, and would laugh every time we had to remind her of that.
Mom never stopped working and made dear friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed her monthly beaver breakfasts with her friends and she couldnt ever say the name without laughing her contagious laugh.
Cheryl is survived by her husband Del Driscoll, Roy; children Michael Driscoll, Portland; Stephanie (Rocky) Romero, Ogden; and Megan Driscoll, Roy. She is also survived by her sister Renae (Bob) McFarland, Ogden, many nieces, cousins, friends, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and LaRue Whiteley, and her brother, Lynn Whiteley.
