Cheryll Fae Dean Hart Burton of Clearfield, passed away on May 20, 2026.
Cheryll was born on Oct. 3, 1940, to Joseph Albert Dean and Edna Noreen Hamre.
She was a Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She enjoyed being with family camping and crafting, family game time playing her favorite (Mexican train or dice, she also enjoyed playing board games or card games. She was a sports fan she loved her Redskins, known now as the Commanders and NASCAR. She really enjoyed westerns when not reading her Louis Lamour; she would watch True Grit or anything else with John Wayne. We can’t forget to mention her daytime soapies the Young & the Restless as well as The Bold and Beautiful that she watched religiously every day. She loved to listen and sing to music; her favorites were Johnny Cash and Elvis.
She left her children behind Joseph Hart, Susan (Lynn) Bybee, Kevin Hart, Jerry (Kailoni) Burton, Sherri Burton, and Laurie (Richard) Young. Her 2 sisters; Alberteen (Abby) Dean and Elsie (Karl) Thompson. Many nephews and nieces, 22 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
She will be joining a few of her beloved family members, her 2 sons David Hart and Larry Burton Jr, a daughter Lisa Stewart and her parents, along with a few siblings Joseph (Johnny) Dean, Frank Dean, Gene Dean and Elouise (Dwight) Cromwell. Who all were waiting until she was welcomed into heaven by Jesus with his loving arms to lay her to rest for eternity where she will be at peace.
Services will be held at Leavitt’s Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park, located at 836 36th Street, Ogden. A viewing will take place on Friday, May 29th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with the funeral service on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will follow at the Ogden Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd, Ogden. Afterward, a luncheon for family and friends will be held at the LDS church building, 151 N. 1000 W., Clearfield.
