Clarissa Mary Gutierrez

Clarissa Mary Gutierrez, 76, of Roy, Utah passed away on September 14, 2023.

Clarissa was born on December 2, 1946 to Ralph and Emma Carpio in Ogden, Utah.  Clarissa worked at Davis Hospital for 15 years as a PBX Operator. She enjoyed her job and the people that she worked with.

She married Donald Gutierrez and for 52 years they were devoted to each other. They had two children. Clarissa enjoyed making a home for her family. She loved to decorate her house and enjoyed shopping. Clarissa was always getting her hair styled weekly and was always so put together. Her jewelry, clothes and shoes matched to perfection. There was no such thing as “dressing  down” for Clarissa.

Clarissa enjoyed her home and it became her sanctuary. She loved to clean and organize her home and that was her favorite pastime.  Clarissa had 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and she enjoyed them and would worry constantly about each of them. She would often call them to make sure they were wearing a coat or advising them to stay home if it is bad weather or to be careful driving.

Clarissa was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her 4 siblings, her husband Donald, her children Duane (Sherri) Gutierrez, Danielle (Oscar) Martinez, 3 grandchildren, Kahla, Trace and Payton and 3 great grandchildren Grayson, Gavin and Walker.
