Obituary

Our beloved Dad, Grandpa, G-pa, Cleavon Clyde Jensen known affectionately as Von, Jense and Cle by his friends passed away Sunday morning June 8, 2025, surrounded by "his girls" at his home in Plain City, Ut. Our Dad is now at peace together again with our Mom, just as they were always meant to be.

Cleavon was born on February 9th, 1939 to Firrell and Ilene Jensen in Castledale, Ut and primarily grew up in Emery, Ut.

Cleavon and his wife Donna met in St. George, UT and they married on March 28, 1959. They started a family soon after. Cleavon and Donna lived in a few different states before ultimately ending up in Utah and had 6 children along the way, 5 daughters and 1 son.

Cleavon worked for Enoch Smith and was a proud union member and retired in 2001, just to reenter the work force a year later, working at Dugway Army Base until he retired at 81 years old.

He was a devoted father who gave his all to his family, but he truly came into his own as a grandfather. Being "Grandpa and/or G-Pa" was his greatest joy. Cleavon enjoyed life, loved to camp, fish, and hunt and always up for a card game.

Cleavon is preceded in death by his wife Donna, daughter Stephanie Sorensen, son Delshane Jensen, and grandson Jerrod Jensen. As well as his siblings, Norma Simmson, Ellen Mortenson, Boyd Jensen, Tamra Devoe, Charlene James and his parents.

He is survived by his daughters: Becky Geis, Vicky Jensen, Jamie Morris and Nichelle Valdez as well as his son in law, Jimmy Geis, 8 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, and his brother Gary Jensen.

We will be celebrating Cleavon's life on Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 2 pm – 4 pm at his Granddaughter's house where he spent his Saturday afternoon's playing cards with family. 2515 North 3000 West, Plain City, Utah.
