Obituary

Connie Lee Hill, 68, passed away in her home on July 4, 2013 after a short but intense battle with cancer. Connie was born on August 21, 1944 in Provo, Utah. She married Alton Lee Hill on September 5, 1964. They moved 24 times in 48 years supporting Al in his Navy and oilfield construction careers. Connie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as ward Relief Society President in four locations. She and Al served missions in France (2005-2007) and Australia (2011-2013) which she loved. She also served as a temple worker in both the Houston, Texas and Ogden, Utah Temples. Connie most enjoyed being a mother. She made amazing quilts, loved knitting, and cooking. She continued her learning even after her boys had grown, earning an Associates Medical Technician degree in 1998. Connie is survived by her husband, Alton; six sons Lee (Sicily) of Saratoga Springs, UT; Wayne of Seattle, WA; Peter (Christi) of Orem, UT; Daniel (Ashley) of Sugarland, TX; Brian of Denton, TX; Jeffrey (Jennie) of Provo, UT and six beautiful grandchildren: Kysa, Carson, Aidan, Jade, Sapphire and Marley. She is also survived by six brothers , Terry Peterson (Diane); Brent Peterson (Jill); Ralph Peterson (Lori); Mark Peterson (Sue); Kevin Peterson (Bridget); Brad Maughan; sister Dixie Shaw and mother Jean Peterson. She was predeceased by her father Ralph Peterson, biological mother, Wanda Cambell Bartholomew, brother, Douglas Maughan and sister Debbie Shroyer. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday July 9, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at the Mountain View LDS Ward, 2620 E. 8200 S., South Weber, UT. Friends may visit the family Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Tuesday prior to services at the ward. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, 12:00 noon at the Ucon City Cemetery, Ucon, ID. Online condolences may be made at www.leavittsmortuary.com
