Corral Ann Riddle BalsaiCorral Ann Riddle Balsai passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from complications of diabetes and congestive heart failure.Corral Ann was born in Ogden Utah, on November 29, 1932 , the 4th child of 15 children born to Russell Monroe Riddle and Vivetta Henderson. Corral Ann married George Balsai on December 2, 1950. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on June 8, 1966. Corral and George adopted a young boy from Korea and raised him as their son, Mike Balsai, whom she loved dearly. Corral was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served for many faithful years in the Primary and the Relief Society. She enjoyed singing in the choir and was proud to have been able to sing in Salt Lake at one of the General Relief Society Meetings. She served as a visiting teacher and honored her calling up to the very last month before she passed away. She loved her neighbors dearly and expressed that often to her family.Corral was preceded in death by her husband, George, her parents, two brothers and five sisters. She leaves her son Mike, a granddaughter Michelle, brothers Buddie (Charlene) Riddle, Russell (Hilda) Riddle and George (Linda) Riddle, brothers-in-law Leland VanderDoes and Glen Johnson, sisters Betty (Arlo) Egbert, Dorretta Riddle, Karen Andrews, Linda Riddle and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.We would like to thank the staff at the Mt Ogden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and the Vista Care Hospice for their kindness in caring for Corral, especially during her last few weeks.Services will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden at 11:00 a.m. Friday January 28, 2011. Friends and family may attend a viewing Thursday January 27, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to the services at the Mortuary. Interment Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
