Daisy Jean Malan passed away April 8, 2017. She was born August 24, 1931 to Ira Zina Mahany and Elizabeth Margaret Groves in Fruita, Colorado. Jean graduated from Weber High School. She married William Matheson Dalton in Ogden, Utah on February 9, 1952. Jean grew up in the depression era moving frequently as her father could find work. She moved to Utah during WWII. After the war she married William Matheson Dalton. William was in the marines moving frequently from Virginia to California. Jean worked at the IRS form 1969 to 1993. In 1998 she went through the Ogden LDS Temple. She was deeply committed to her family; she was a wonderful grandmother and had a large part of raising her grandchildren. She rarely asked for help, but was always willing to sacrifice time and or money for her family. She will be remembered and missed by all that knew her. Daisy Jean Malan is survived by her son, David Michael Dalton; daughter, Deborah Rosendahl; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Matheson Dalton; her second husband, Fred Wilford Malan and her son, Daniel Edward Dalton. Graveside Services will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 at 5:00 pm at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
