Dale Alma Sherwood, age 57, passed away at his home in Ogden on April 30, 2012. He was born in Ogden, Utah on December 24, 1954; son of Marlowe Joseph and Arlene B. Sherwood. He was a graduate of Bonneville High School.After High School, Dale lived in Vancouver, Washington, where he married Judie Catherine (Swift) Macinka. They were later divorced. While there he became a fire fighter, a job which he talked about fondly. When he returned to Ogden, he attended the police academy to become a police officer. During his life, Dale was a hard worker and became the "go to guy" for any repairs or ideas on how to fix things. He later developed a skill for photography and was able to record many weddings and family events. Dale played the guitar and loved all kinds of music. Dale is survived by his son, Ryan (Gwen) Spanier, and two grandchildren, Kayla Rose and Dale Lee of Keithville, Louisiana. He is also survived by his brothers, Craig (Sharon) Robison, Plano, Texas, Brent (Kim) Sherwood, Gold Coast, Australia and Jay (Zenetta) Sherwood, Ogden, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Lynn Sherwood. Funeral Services for Dale will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012, at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Family and friends may call from 10:00 ~ 11:00 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
