Dana L. Morris Horse12/15/1949 1/12/2012Following a twelve year battle with complications of Agent Orange exposure in Vietnam, Dana, age 62, lost the final battle and peacefully passed away on 1/12/2012 surrounded by his loving family.Dana Lee Morris (Horse) born December 15, 1949 the son of George and Ruby Morris. He died peacefully on January 12, 2012 due to complications of diabetes. He grew up in Ogden, Utah and graduated from Ben Lomond High School. He served our country proudly and honorably in Vietnam, United States Army, Big Red One, 1968-1970, as a combat infantryman. He married his high school sweetheart, Norma Bigler. They had two daughters together,Brigitte and Natasha and later divorced. He then met and married Kathy Wright Hayman, in August 1988 and loved and lived with her until he left this earth. Dana graduated from Utah State University with a degree in engineering. He worked at Hill Air Force Base until he retired. Horse loved riding his Harley, hitting tennis balls with his daughter and watching his daughter compete in swim meets. He always loved his dogs and loved running with them. "Grandpa Bum" as he was affectionately known, loved seeing his grandchildren and fed them lots of chocolate licorice. He had a kind heart and would help anyone in need. Horse always had something funny to say and a gift to give his loved ones.He survived by his wife Kathy; daughters Brigitte Hadley and Natasha (Mike) Nielsen, stepson Bret Hayman (Cheylynn), his mother Ruby Morris, sisters RubyAnn Wall and Lorene (Larry) Parker; brother Landy (Sandy) Morris, seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the kind staff at McKay Dee Hospital for care provided.Per Danas request no funeral service was conducted. He wished all to "celebrate my life, not my death". A private gathering of family and dearest friends attended a memorial on January 19, 2012. It was his wish to be cremated.
