IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Danelle
Johansen
March 26, 1966 – January 15, 2025
It breaks our hearts to say that God had other life plans for our "Pooh Bear", Danelle Johansen. Danelle passed away January 15, 2025, at Ogden Regional Hospital due to complications from Pneumonia. Danelle was born on March 26, 1966 to Judy and Ray Kirkman in Ogden, UT Danelle attended multiple schools, but graduated at Bonneville High School in 1984 . She started her career at the IRS alongside her mom, Judy. In time, Danelle's path led her to Roxy's Pub, where as a bartender, her warm smile and friendly conversation became the highlight of many patrons' visits. It was in these interactions that Danelle's true spirit shone through, as she made each person feel seen and valued. On April 9, 1988, Danelle married Russell Aardema in Sunset, UT. Danelle and Russ went on to have two kids, Kelsey and Kolby. They were later divorced in August of 1996. She then married Shane Johansen on March 2, 2009, at a Nascar Race in Las Vegas, NV and from there their journey started. Anyone who knew Danelle loved her. Everyone knew her as the "Bartender from Roxy's." Those who knew Danelle will remember her for the love she freely gave and the friendships she nurtured. Her spirit was characterized by her loving nature, her kindness that knew no bounds, and her friendly demeanor that could brighten the gloomiest of days. She had a rare ability to make each individual in her presence feel special and cared for, a trait that endeared her to many and created a legacy of warmth that will endure. She was a one-of-a-kind person. If you met her, it was an automatic love for her. She's leaving so many broken hearted. In her spare time she loved having her grandkids, Jacelynn and Asher, over for the weekends. They were her world, and she was theirs. She was their "Nana", their favorite grandma. Her role as a grandmother to Jacelynn and Asher was perhaps her most cherished. She was loved more than she could ever imagine. She's going to be missed tremendously by so many. But she will definitely never be forgotten. Her presence was a comfort and her laughter a melody that will echo in the hearts of those who loved her. Danelle was predeceased by her dad, Ray, cousins Penny and Brent, Aunt Renee, grandma Rita and grandpa Roy. She is survived by her husband Shane, mother Judy(Berg)Leishman, son Kolby, daughter and grandkids, Kelsey, Jacelynn and Asher. There will be a Celebration of Life at Leavitt's Mortuary on 36th St in Ogden, Ut on January 31, 2025 @ 3pm-5pm. Everyone and anyone are welcome to come share their memories they have of Danelle and say their "I'll See You Laters."
