Daniel Phillip Fast, affectionately known as Danny, passed away on July 9, 2026, in Ogden, Utah. Born on September 9, 1955, in Florance, Arizona, Danny led a life defined by humor and wit, bringing a smile to all who's path he crossed. 

Daniel was the proud son of Phil and Joanne Fast, both of whom preceded him in death. He attended Blue Ridge High School in Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona. He graduated with the class of 1973. Soon after he graduated high school, he married Robin Peterson, they later divorced. They had 2 sons, Josh and Justin Fast. 

Daniel answered the call to serve his nation. He joined the United States Army, where he committed thirteen years of honorable service. During his military career, he made many friends and had the unique opportunity to live in Ft. Bliss, Texas, Germany, Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, and Ogden, Utah. His time in uniform was characterized by discipline, camaraderie, and a steadfast sense of duty. 

His last enlistment brought him to Ogden, Utah, where he met and married Marianne Stump, they later divorced. They had 2 sons, Chris and Seth Fast. 

He had 1 more child, a daughter with Melanie Andrews, Emma Sue Andrews, and she was the apple of his eye. Emma and Melanie have become his main focus in life for the last 15 years.

Danny had a love and knowledge of old cars. In his younger years he was quite the mechanic, and was very proud of the cars and pickups he had built.

Family was always very important to Danny throughout his life. He is survived by his sons, Josh (Jennifer), Justin (Brandy), Chris, and Seth; his daughter, Emma Sue Andrews; along with 5 grandsons, 1 great grandson, and his beloved sister, Susan Magnuson. His legacy will live on forever.

Danny's passing marks the close of a life devoted to the principles and family. His example of perseverance and loyalty remains an inspiration to all who knew him.

A celebration to honor Daniel Phillip Fast’s life will be held Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah 84403.
