Daniel B. Spangler 75, passed away on February 1, 2014 in Lake Havasu, Arizona. He was born in Seattle, Washington on January 25, 1939 to John and Catherine Spangler. Dan spent most of his youth around Seattle and Lake Stevens, WA. He loved fast cars, motorcycles, girls, and running away from home. Dans sense of independence was his trademark. He would rarely let anyone tell him what to do. At age 18, he went to Anchorage, Alaska to seek his fortune. While there, he was successful at many business ventures, including: trucking, land development, banking, sales of cedar roof product and truck rebuilding. He returned to Marysville, WA in the 70s and 80s to rebuild wrecked semi-trucks. During the 90s he traveled the western US, working on wrecked trucks and living in his "1971" Peterbilt motor home that he had built from old truck parts. From 1999 until the present he has lived in Ogden and wintered in Quartzsite, AZ. Throughout his life, he strived to teach those around him proper work ethic, honesty, integrity and treating others fairly. He is survived by his sister, Jackie Lueken; nephew, Ron Kein (Pam) of Chehalis, WA; his son, Jesaiah Gallentine and Yvonne Gallantine of Eugene, OR. He will be greatly missed by his "family" at Rocky Mountain Truck Parts. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary at 836, 36th Street, Ogden, UT.
