David Charles East passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011. He was born on July 10, 1957, in Hibbing, MN to Charles and Betty East. He then moved with his family and lived in Virginia, Wisconsin and Michigan before finally coming to Ogden, Utah.He graduated from Ogden High School, and attended Northland Community College in Thief River Falls, MN. David married the love of his life, Debra Kay on June 16, 1978 in the Elim Lutheran Church, in Ogden, Utah. David was a farmer at heart. He loved to hunt, fish, camp and ride his four-wheeler. He loved his family above all else, and his grandchildren meant the world to him. He will be missed by all. He was a great husband, an amazing father, and a terrific papa. He is survived by: his wife, Debra, and children: Chad David (Krista) East, Christie (Victor) Chelaru and Cathie East (Tad Gruis). David is also survived by his siblings: Ted (Denise) East, Jody (Daryl) Larson, Sara (Jeff ) Steer and 3 grandchildren: Jackson Chelaru, Jaidyn East and one on the way.David was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ted and Hazel Ranstrom and Charles and Mary East and cousins: Jeff Ranstrom and Tami Thomas. A memorial service for David will be held Friday, October 28, 2011 at Elim Lutheran Church, 575 23rd Street, Ogden, at 2:00 p.m.Cremation under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.
