David "Dave" Steven Galloway, age 76, passed away peacefully at his home on September 16, 2024. Dave bravely confronted his health challenges and lived life on his own terms.

Dave was born on June 27, 1948 in Ogden, Utah to Orval and Daisy Reese Galloway, the fourth of their children. He graduated from Bonneville High School in 1966 and went on to have a successful career, retiring after over 40 years of service with Fram at the Clearfield Freeport Center.

Known for his creativity and humility, Dave had a deep love for nature, often spending time at the local duck pond near his home. He could frequently be found there with his notepad, sketching beautiful scenes. An accomplished artist, he worked in oil, pencil, and watercolor, gifting many of his pieces to family and friends.

In addition to his artistic abilities, Dave loved the game of pool. Known as one of the best in the game, Dave was a skilled player and competed in tournaments throughout Davis and Weber Counties, earning numerous awards both in team and individual tournaments. He was celebrated not only for his skill but also for his genuine enjoyment of the competition. His dearest friends were his fellow players.

Music was another of Dave's great loves. He had an extraordinary knowledge of songs and artists from the 1960s and 1970s and could name any tune from that era with ease. Despite his vast intellect, Dave never sought attention. He was truly a quiet, gentle, and humble person.

Dave was a proud member of the American Legion and a long-time resident of Clearfield.

Dave is survived by his loving sister Debbie (Bob) Minster, four nephews, and three nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kelly Galloway; and his brothers, Daryl Galloway and Dennis Galloway.

Dave's life will be remembered for his artistry, love of pool and nature, his quiet intelligence, his kindness, and his unassuming presence. Per his wishes, a graveside service will be held at Uintah Cemetery (1500 E 6450 S Uintah, Utah 84405) on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 3pm.
