David Peter Sevy was born September 24, 1950 to Kenneth Max Sevy and JoAnne Higgenbotham Sevy. He passed away peacefully on September 21, 2015, surrounded by family and loved ones. Daves parents divorced when he was five years old and he lived in Ephraim, Utah with his grandparents, Hespert and Rozella P. Sevy for several years. He returned to Ogden and graduated from Weber High School in 1968. Two weeks after graduation, he hired on at Pillsbury Flour Mills and worked there for 23 years. He later worked for Smith and Edwards and Autoliv. Dave married Sharon Seaman in the St. George Temple on July 19, 1972. They were the proud parents of Ryan S. Sevy (Megan Christensen Sevy), Megan Sevy, and Matthew K. Sevy, and four beautiful grandchildren: Jacob, Amelia, Samuel, and Caroline, who survive him. Daves hobbies were target shooting, hunting, fishing, camping, and reloading. He believed in the freedoms, rights, and responsibilities of the American system and taught those around him of their importance in our lives. Friends and family will attest to his sense of humor and great memory of military history, guns and reloading skills. Family and Friends are invited to meet with them at the Burch Creek 6th Ward, 37th and Eccles, South Ogden, Utah on Thursday, September 24, 2015 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. Following the gathering, a short service honoring his life will begin. Please come prepared to share a short story about Dave. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations toward outstanding medical bills and burial expenses or contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project at any Goldenwest Credit Union in the name of David P. Sevy Memorial Account.
