David Strasburg

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our loving Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Brother in Law, and Friend David Dale Strasburg. Dave died peacefully on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at his home in Roy, Utah surrounded by loved ones. He fought his illness with all he had and he did so with dignity and bravery.

Dave was born in SLC, Utah December 30, 1963 and was raised in the Magna area. He graduated from Cypress High School where he was heavily involved in football, wrestling and track, winning state championships and many awards.
He attended the University of Utah, later starting and running his own business as an office furniture installation contractor with his wife since 2001.
He enjoyed spending time at his cabin, hiking, fishing, riding ATVs and nature watching. Dave loved football and was a lifelong Vikings fan who enjoyed his fantasy football leagues.
Dave was an extremely intelligent, hardworking man, who could literally fix or build anything. He was the rock of our family always protecting and loving us.
He will be loved and missed immeasurably by all who knew him.
Dave is survived by his loving wife of 25 years; Jenny Vlaanderen-Strasburg, his four children; David Hathcock, Danielle Bowman, Krista Hathcock and Finesse Strasburg, his eleven grandchildren; Kendall, Kaprece, Gage, Aiden, Jackson, Kloey, Mary Jane, Cash, Cage, Petrova and Jameson, his mother Penny Shackelford (John), his stepfather Larry Strasburg and his siblings Wendy Johnson, Lonnie Strasburg, Kelly Cooper and JJ Shackelford.
He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Grant and Mary Damron, his father Jerry Baker and his best friend and brother-in-law Ted Carpenter.
