David Henry Williamson
August 21, 1952 – April 1, 2026
David Henry Williamson, age 73, passed away on April 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
David was born in Ogden Utah graduating from Ogden High School. He then went on to receive his Bachelors degree in Data Processing at Weber State University.
David proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1977 aboard the USS George Washington submarine. Following his service, he worked for many years as a data processing specialist at the Utah State Office of Education before retiring. His dedication and strong work ethic were evident in all that he did.
He lived an active and joyful life. David had a deep love for basketball and could often be found playing or talking about the game. He cherished the outdoors, especially his trips to Yellowstone with his wife Cindy, where he found peace and happiness in nature. One of his favorite daily routines was taking his beloved dog, Moose, on long walks.
He also had a unique and impressive talent for yo-yoing, something that amazed those around him and brought smiles to his family. It was just one of the many ways his playful spirit and creativity shined through.
Above all, David was known for his kind heart and willingness to help anyone in need. He was always ready to lend a hand, no matter the situation, and he touched countless lives through his generosity and compassion.
He especially loved supporting his grandchildren in all their extracurricular activities, always showing up with pride and encouragement. Some of the most cherished memories were made during family trips to Lagoon, where his playful spirit and love for his family truly shined.
He is survived by his children, Tiffany Williamson and Arthur Williamson (Mindy), and his five beloved grandchildren: Kylie Dominguez, Ethan Williamson, Henry Williamson, Caleb Williamson, and Olivia Williamson, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald L. Williamson (Diana), as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews whom he loved dearly.
David is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Williamson; his mother, T. Rosella Williamson Allred; his brothers, Lee A. Williamson and Darrell J. Williamson; and his former wives, Kathleen Williamson and Cindy Williamson.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at Intermountain Medical Center Shock Trauma ICU Unit for the exceptional care, compassion, and support they provided during his final days.
David will be deeply missed and forever loved.
