Dawna Jean Stark, 78, of Ogden, Utah was born in Logan, Utah on June 14, 1938 to Carl C. Petersen and Virginia L. Petersen. She passed away peacefully on March 3, 2017. Dawna leaves behind her loving husband, Gene whom was married as high school sweethearts on September 17, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. In addition Dawna leaves behind five children, Michael Stark (Shelley), Jeannine Richins (Wayne), Randy Stark (Beth), Julie Wilson (Kim), and Gene Stark Jr (Kimberly), 22 Grandkids, and 21 Great Grandkids. Dawna graduated from LDS Business College in 1959 which allowed her to use her skills to be a successful small business owner and entrepreneur. Her leadership skills resulted in tenure as President of the Ford/Thunderbird and Antique Buick Car Clubs for many years. Dawnas strength, dedication to her family and faith provided numerous church callings throughout her life, including service in the Relief Society, Primary, and Young Womens Organizations and also serving a Stake and Service mission. Dawna Wife, Mother, and Grandmother will be missed. Visitation will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 6350 Combe Rd, Ogden, Utah with short viewing to be held prior to service from 10:00 to 10:45 am.
