Dean Raymond Neville, 78, of Ogden, UT passed away on October 14, 2025.
Dean was born on August 23, 1947, to Carl Raymond Young and Theresa DeYoung in Ogden Utah, and was later adopted by Ronald L. Neville. He attended Weber High school where he lettered in football and track. After graduating high school in 1965, he joined the Navy where he was called to serve multiple tours in the Vietnam War. After returning home he attended Weber College and studied biology. He worked for Ogden Dress Meats, delivering to all the surrounding areas. His favorite was delivering to the schools where the lunch ladies fed him. He was then later employed as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic and spent much of his employment at Compass Minerals (formerly GSL), where he retired from in 2013.
In 1972 he married Sherry L. Andrews, they had two daughters together and later divorced.
He enjoyed coaching little league football in North Ogden for many years, and he loved supporting his kids and grandkids at many sporting events. He enjoyed going to Montana and Yellowstone, taking his grandkids on many outdoor adventures. He enjoyed cross country skiing, fishing, hunting, camping, and many other outdoor activities.
Dean is survived by his sister Jan (Steve) Hall, his two daughters Ashlie (Bret) Butler and Mandi (Jeremy) Bateman, seven grandchildren: Colter (Cyndal), Westin (Justice), Mollie, Justin, Kamrin, Lundyn and Blakeleigh, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ronald and Theresa Neville, Carl and Marlene Young, his three brothers Bruce Young, Robert Neville, Larry Neville, and sister-in-law Becky Neville.
A special thanks to the staff at George E. Wahlen Veterans Home, as well as Ashlee, Bella, Kellie, and the rest of the staff with Bristol Hospice.
Friends and extended family may join the family in a celebration of life on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th St, Ogden, UT.
Graveside services will take place for close friends and family on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 10:00 am at Leavitt's Mortuary.
