Dennis Boyd Chase, loving husband, stepfather and friend passed away at home on January 10, 2018 at the age of 74 after battling Alzheimers for several years. Dennis was born November 6, 1943 to Merle Dwight Chase and Mary Diane Frangos in San Mateo, California. He graduated from Westmore High School in 1962. In 1972 he also attended City College of San Francisco and graduated with an Associate Degree in Arts. Dennis was a truck driver for many years until his retirement in 2010. While driving for Color Spot his job often took him to Utah where he settled in 1994. In 1997 he met Rita, the love of his life, and they were married November 29, 1997 in Reno, NV. Dennis loved photography, gardening, smooth jazz, good food and California wine. He had style and flare. He will be sorely missed. He is survived by his wife Rita; his stepchildren: Bertrand Collins, Angelique (Trace Burningham) and Cherice (Mike Bridges); his brother, Jeff Chase (Betty); also his nieces Kerry Chase Hooper (widow), Kristen Chase Caldren (Tito), and Jill Marie Chase. Last, but not least, his dear friend of 60 years, Paul Beilhes, his wife, Laura, and their twin daughters, Ashley and Allison; and numerous cousins He is preceded in death by his mother and father. A Private Service has been planned and his ashes will be taken to his beloved San Francisco at a later date.
