DeVere Dean BellDeVere Dean Bell, age 84, passed away December 30, 2011 peacefully surrounded by his family.He was born August 21, 1927 in Malad Idaho, the son of William Arvel and Mary Alberta Jones Bell. He was reared and educated in Malad, Idaho and Ogden, Utah, graduating from Ogden High School. He served in the US Navy during World War II and upon returning he married Mary Beverly Fredrickson in Ogden Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on May 29, 1964.DeVere was a member of the South Ogden first ward, served as Bishop of the ward and also a counselor in the bishopric.He is survived by seven children, Kenneth (Ingrid) Bell, Lehi; Glen (Sandra) Bell, Ogden; Lee (Ed) Hofeling, Tooele; Dee (Cherry) Bell, Missouri; Bill (Jeannie) Bell, Mapleton; Irene (Doug) Evans, West Point; Mary (Clark) Mackay, Taylorsville; 32 Grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly, brother Arvel Bell, and Sister Ileen Henderson.A viewing will be held Tuesday Jan 3, 2012 from 6pm-8pm, and one hour prior to services at Leavitts Mortuary 836 36th street, Ogden Utah.Graveside services will be Wednesday Jan 4, 2012 at 11:00 am, at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
