Our beloved mother, grandmother sister, friend and angel Diane Gail Phillips, 71 passed away November 28, 2014 after a long and courageous battle against cancer. She was born August 11, 1943 in Neptune, New Jersey, to Edward Joseph Glick and Vivian June Moore. Vivian later married Charles Blair Sr. on May 1,1955 and together they raised Diane.
Diane married the first love of her life, Reid Theron Phillips on June 9, 1962 in Virginia, who passed away on August 24, 1995. Diane and Reid raised six children in West Jordan, Utah. In 1998, she married the second love of her life, John R. Richards.
Diane worked for Quality Inn in Salt Lake City for many years. She was a bright spirit to all who knew her with a generous heart. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially shopping for them, she was a bit like Mrs. Clause. If Diane wasnt shopping for her kids and grandkids, she was either camping, fishing, or dancing the night away. Diane loved listening and dancing to country music.
Diane was the friend everyone wanted, the big sister you needed, but most of all she was an amazing mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family.
Diane is survived by her husband John Richards and her six children; Reid, Blair, Everett, Sean, Dionne (Jeff), Heidi (Mark), 21 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, three sisters Charlotte (Joe), Tammy (Gary), Brenda (Doyle), two brothers Charles (Cindy) and Reid.
Diane is preceded in death by her first husband, Reid Theron Phillips, mother, brother (Donald Kay Blair) and daughter-in-law Tammy Phillips.
You are our sweet angel, who will live forever in our hearts. Rest in peace our dear angel.
