Obituary

In the fields of Rupert, Idaho, under the watch of the ever-changing skies, was born a spirit as free as the wind, Dixie Virginia Anderson. On the twentieth day of April in the year of our Lord, nineteen hundred and forty-six, she embarked upon life's journey, a path that would wind and weave through the tapestry of time until its peaceful conclusion in Ogden, Utah, on the twelfth of February, two thousand and twenty-five.

Dixie, as she was affectionately known by all whose lives she graced, was a paragon of intelligence, a vessel of mirth, and a soul of unyielding spirit. Her laughter was a melody that played upon the heartstrings of those around her, and her wit was as sharp as a rapier, ever ready to engage in the playful banter that doth bring joy to the hearth.

The chronicles of her life tell of academic conquests, for she didst graduate with great esteem in the realm of Business Management. Dixie ventured forth into the world of commerce and stewardship. At Sacred Heart Hospital, she counted the coins and penned the ledgers, ensuring that all was in order. Yet the entrepreneurial fire within her could not be tamed, and thus she didst forge her own path, becoming a titan of the roadways with her own trucking business.

Not content to wear but one crown, Dixie also stood as a partner of Fillmore Products, where her keen eye and deft touch didst guide the enterprise to flourish. And in the halls of the Intermountain Power Project, she reigned as Payroll Manager, her expertise as unassailable as the mountains themselves.

Beyond the world of commerce, Dixie found solace and joy in riding horses with the grace and freedom of a falcon in flight. Her hands, ever skilled, did also weave beauty in crafts and design, creating wonders that reflected the depths of her imagination and the breadth of her soul.

Yet, what is a life, but a series of moments shared with family? In this, Dixie was rich beyond measure. Her immediate family each a star in the constellation of her existence. She had 4 children, Delin West, Ty Freeman, Shellie Baughman, and Cody Freeman, 12 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. They all bask in the light of her love and wisdom and now carry the torch of her legacy.

The curtain hath fallen upon this stage of Dixie's infinite play, and the world doth seem dimmer without her radiant presence. But let us not mourn, for she hath taught us that every ending is but a prologue to a new beginning. Dixie Virginia Anderson, whose name shall be etched in our memories, leaves behind more than mere footprints; she leaves behind a path for others to follow, a trail blazed with laughter, ingenuity, and indomitable spirit.

Let us take our leave with hearts full of gratitude, for having known such a soul is to have supped with the divine. And though she now communes with the ones that have passed before, her spirit shall ever walk amongst us, guiding, inspiring, and reminding us to live with the same fervor and passion that she embodied. Farewell, dear Dixie and mom, until we meet again in the great beyond, where the spirits of the just are made perfect, and the joy of reunion knoweth no bounds.
