IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dixon Ford
Kapple
August 19, 1953 – April 5, 2025
DIXON FORD KAPPLE, born August 19, 1953, eldest son of Dick and Elaine Ford Kapple passed peacefully early in the morning Saturday April 5, 2025.
A native of Ogden City, Dixon attended Ogden City Schools, graduated from Ogden High School and Utah State University.
He also completed a Latter-Day Saints mission to Germany.
Dixon married Lorl Lin Dean on January 30, 1981. They were true sole mates. He loved her more than anything in this world. He leaves behind his wife Lorl, daughter Korl, and son Dean and his spouse Sarah and four beautiful granddaughters Kadynce, Kenadee, Kensley, and Arlynn. He also leaves behind his siblings, Brad, Sue Ann, Karen, and JeNae and their spouses.
Dixon was a loyal friend, who was willing to help anyone around him. His sense of humor was dry and welcomed at challenging times. Dixon had many great times with friends and family at Palm Desert, Lake Powell, Jackson Hole, Colter Bay, and Bear Lake. We will remember Dixon as a faithful captain of the Rubber Duck, the 6-man (and many times patched) raft, which wouldn't pass inspection to today's standards for rafting down the Snake River. Many have fond memories of Dixon reminding them to get ready for Lunch Counter, many times his crew allowed the boat to flip, sometimes it was Dixon. But in Dixon's fashion, we all recover and can get back in the boat, and we all can realize that sometimes, "It is what it is". He is also known by his Snow Basin friends as a regular in the locker room as an avid skier. In the Spring he would make tee times and reach out to anyone that wanted to play. He loved being outdoors with his many friends.
Dixon was a successful businessman representing many prominent internet companies.
Dixon's hobbies were golfing, skiing, and enjoying the company of his many friends. He loved watching college sports.
Dixon's family will meet with family and friends on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 5-8 P.M. and on Friday April 11, 2025 from 10-10:45 A.M. Services will take place Friday at 11:00 A.M. All services will be held at Leavitt's Mortuary- 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah
He will be interred at Lindquist's Washington Heights Cemetery 4500 S Washington Boulevard in Ogden.
Dixon is remembered as kind, thoughtful, and loveable. He will be extremely missed.
