Don James East has returned to his Father in Heaven and his beloved wife, Elaine. He was born March 24, 1924 in West Weber, Utah to Harold James East and Eliza Buck. Don was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held may positions, especially teaching in the Sunday School. He served an LDS mission in the Southern States. Don married Elaine LaVon Shreeve on February 4, 1949 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. From this union they had four daughters, Dianne East, Gaylene (Andy) Black, Cherylin Rae and Jody (Lamar) Eggleston; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine, daughter, Gaylene and grandson, Don. The family would like to thank the members of Intermountain Hospice who helped take wonderful care of him. A Viewing will be on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the West Weber LDS 3rd Ward Building, 4100 West 900 South, West Weber, Utah. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at the West Weber 3rd Ward Chapel. Friends may visit with the family prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 am.
