Donel R. Caudle October 27, 1916 - July 10, 2014 Donel R. Caudle, 97, passed away peacefully at home July 10, 2014, with his family by his side. Don was born to Joshua B. Caudle and Artie Grider in Ozark, Missouri. He graduated High School in Longmont, Colorado. Don married A. La Vonn Book in Longmont, Colorado on December 13, 1941. Don was a loving husband to his wife of 72 years, a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather to all that he knew. He was inducted into the Army on November 5, 1942 and was honorably discharged. Don spent the next 32 years working as a master electrician at the Defense Depot of Ogden before retiring. He was a devoted church member and helped build the Assembly of God Church in Roy, Utah. Don was a hunter and fisherman, on any given day; he could be found in the mountains, lakes, rivers or duck ponds. In the winter he could be found in his basement tying flies for family and friends. He did shoot his last elk at the age of 95. He enjoyed learning how to oil paint after he retired. Donel is survived by his only son, Donel R. (Rebecca) Caudle Jr., six grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife La Vonn, father, mother, two brothers and one sister.
