IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donna
Cole
November 27, 1927 – January 9, 2026
Donna Bingham Cole was born on Nov 27, 1927 at her Grandma Bambrough's house in South Weber, Utah, to the greatest parents anyone could ever have, Francis A and LaVora B Bingham. Her early years were spent in Ogden, but as a young girl she moved to Riverdale and attended school there. She made friends early, but formed lifelong bonds with her 3 best friends, Mae, Beth and Ruby. She graduated from Weber High school, where she was a cheerleader.
After high school her mother, LaVora introduced her to a handsome, hard working young man, John C Cole. She wasn't smitten at first, but things soon changed. He joined the Marines and was stationed in Bremerton, WA. Her mother accompanied Donna to Bremerton, where she and John were married.
After moving back to Ogden, they had 4 sons, Jim (Bonnie), Jack (Pam-deceased), Richard (Cathy), and Casey. From these boys, they had 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
Donna worked at HAFB for many years, making countless friends. John and Donna moved to several states in the Minuteman Missile program. When they retired, they were able to spend a number of years traveling the US in their motorhome.
Donna passed peacefully on Jan 9, 2026 surrounded by those who loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, her brother Cliff, daughter in law Pam, son Casey, and grandson John Brandon.
A special thank you to Katie Whitlock, you are the best and we wouldn't have made it through without you. We would also like to thank Beehive Homes of Syracuse, Aimee Poe and all of the staff, you are all wonderful. Heather- Donna couldn't have a better nurse.
Donna was laid to rest next to the love of her life, John, at Leavitt's Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park on Jan 19, 2026.
