In Loving Memory of Doris “Annie” Corwin

January 13, 1934 – May 16, 2026

Doris “Annie” Corwin, 92, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Ward T. Stockham and Lillian A. Huss. Annie remained a lifelong resident of the area she loved. It was in Ogden that she met her soulmate, Thomas J. Corwin. The two were wed on August 17, 1951, beginning a devoted journey together that spanned decades.

Annie was a familiar face in the community through her years in sales at Wolfe’s Sporting Goods and Shopko. When she wasn't working, she could often be found on the greens of the Ben Lomond Golf Course.

She was a woman of many gifts. An excellent seamstress with a natural eye for interior decorating. A fabulous baker and cook whose homemade dinners and variety of Christmas cookies were the highlight of the holidays. While her family will deeply miss the custom cakes she made for every special occasion, her recipes and traditions will be carried on by those who loved her. Annie’s greatest legacy is her family. She is survived by her three children:

Richard Ray Corwin, Vickie Ann (Abe) Ableman, Jackie Phillips (Saul Vigil).

She also leaves behind a large and loving lineage of five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, as well as her sister-in-law, Connie Tuttle. Annie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom; her parents; her brother, Ray Stockham; and her great-great-grandson, Slate Scoffield.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the healthcare professionals who provided Annie with compassionate care during her final days.

In honor of Annie’s spirit of giving, and in lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to a local animal shelter of your choice or a blood donation at your local blood bank.

Graveside services will be held at Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd. Ogden, Utah on Tuesday May 26th at 11:00 a.m.
