Doris Marie Hampton Buchanan was born on December 31, 1931, in Randolph, Utah. She passed away on September 11, 2024, after enjoying a fun-loving life. She was born to the parents of William E. Marshall and Nora Estella Findlay, the youngest of five siblings, Layton, Wayne, Leora, and Merle.

The family moved to Ogden when she was a young teenager. She attended Ogden High school. She met her first husband Elliott B. Hampton and the father of five sons and no daughters. She worked for the Defense Depot Ogden for a period of time and retired in 1978 for medical reasons.

She then discovered the hobby of making ceramic dolls and animals. She bought the molds and poured the slip into the molds. She would then paint and dress the dolls all with clothing she made herself. Her love and dedication for this art was unbelievable. All of the dolls she made were of the highest quality and detail anybody could imagine.

Her first marriage did not work out. She then met married George Buchanan who brought her a lot of happiness. Geroge passed away on December 24,2018.

She is survived by her five sons Joe D. Hampton, Denny W. (Annie) Hampton, Elliott Brent (Sally) Hampton, Dale J. Hampton and Kent L. Hampton.

She is preceded in death by parents and siblings.

Graveside services are scheduled for September 18, 2024, at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah at 11:00 AM.
