Dorothy Ethel McGee CoyDorothy E. Coy, 98 died Monday, July 4, 2011. She was born April 5, 1913, in Jamestown, New York; the daughter of Max Martin McGee and Minnie Ethel Bronson. On August 7, 1933 she married Phillip D. Coy, in Provo, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple. She moved to Ogden, Utah when she was eleven years old, and lived here her entire life. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held several church callings.Her interests were her family, reading and sewing. Surviving are one daughter Beverly Sparks, two sons Max P. (Sheila) Coy, and Melvin (Janie) Coy, 17 grandchildren, and numerous great grand children. Also surviving are one brother in law, Clyde Coy, and one sister in law Joyce Coy. Preceding her in death were her husband, and two sons: Delbert Coy, and Michael Coy. The family would like to thank Wasatch Care Center and IHC Hospice Services for the love and care they provided. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 8, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary, and Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
