Dottie McGavin Gallaher July 25, 1926 - April 28, 2015 Dottie McGavin Gallaher passed away with family at her side on April 28, 2015 in Ogden, Utah. Dottie was born July 25, 1926 to Lorin and Fern Brower McGavin in Richmond, Utah. Dottie graduated from North Cache High School in 1945. She married Lonnie D. Gallaher in 1953 in Richmond, Utah. Together they raised three sons: Lonnie Lee, Anthony and Michael in Vacaville, California. They also raised their grandson, Nathan Gallaher. Dottie was a devoted member of the LDS Church where she taught Sunday School. Dottie was an excellent cook. She loved arts and crafts, board games, and most of all spending precious time with family. Dottie always put the needs of family and others before herself. Dottie will be missed greatly and thought of often. Dottie is survived by sons: Lonnie Lee (Deanie), Anthony Jay (Catherine); grandson, Nathan Dean; one brother, Robert McGavin; and many nieces and nephews; grandchildren and great grandchildren; also her ex-husband and good friend, Lonnie. Dottie is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, two brothers, and son, Michael Dean. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 11:00 am at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah with a viewing one hour prior to services at 9:45 to 10:45 am. Interment with dedication of grave will be at 2:00 pm at the Richmond City Cemetery, Richmond, Utah.
