Our beloved father, grandfather and friend passed away of natural causes on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in Bountiful, Utah. Born August 30, 1920 in Medicine Lake, Montana to George J. and Margaret E. DeRouchey. Duke resided in Bountiful, Utah for over 40 years surrounded by dear neighbors and wonderful friends. Early on, he served in active duty in World War II in the United States Navy. He went on to a successful career as a well-respected engineer employed by Unisys Corp., as well as Chrysler Corp. and American Motors. Duke is known for his collection of antique cars which include a number of Cadillacs as well as his prized Harley Davidson motorcycle. During his retirement, Duke loved to travel and spend time with his family whenever possible. His charm, good looks and endearing smile will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his daughter Lori Chambers (Alan) Bountiful, UT; grandsons Matthew Perkins (Lisa) Hooper, UT; Jack Paul, Denver, CO; Barrett Jepperson (Maria) Jacksonville Beach, FL; and Nathan Chambers, Bountiful, UT. He is also survived by one brother, Dean DeRouchey, Green Bay, WI. An Inurnment Service with Military Honors will be held at Leavitts Aultorest Mausoleum, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah on Thursday, January 8th beginning at 2:00 pm. The family wishes to thank the many caregivers who provided their tenderness and understanding during his last days which include Orchard Cove, Barton Creek, South Davis Community Hospital, and especially Dr. Russell Shields for his compassion and care.
