Edna Ruth Rasmussen, age 90 passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at BeeHive Home in Syracuse, Utah. She was born in Huntington, Emery, Utah on March 21, 1927 to Emerson Milton and Florence Ellen Hamaker Mills. She was the 2nd oldest of 6 children: John, Velma (Joy), Robert, LaMar and Bernice. Edna lived in Utah while growing up and then California, Montana and Idaho. Declo, Idaho was where she raised her children and lived for over 50 years. Her high school graduation was from Box Elder High School in Brigham City. She married Dale N Kidd on April 22, 1946. Together they had five children: Sharon (Marvin) Hassell of Yucca Valley, CA; Wileen (Gordon) Henderson of Mesa, AZ; Jim (Vicki) of Meridian, ID; Patty (Boyd) Garfield of Clinton, UT; Steve (Patty) Kidd of Nephi, UT. She served as a Logan LDS Temple worker, genealogist, member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and in many levels of the Parent Teacher Association. She was a State of Idaho Licensed Public Accountant working for several CPAs and later owning her own building and business in Burley. She later married Charles E. Taylor, June 10 1980 and the marriage was solemnized in the Ogden, Utah, LDS Temple on March 13, 1981. The couple served a mission to Canada Toronto from November 1982 to May 1984. They were Logan Temple ordinance workers for more than seven years. After nursing Charlie until he died on Jan. 15, 1994, she went back to work in the Temple. She married Arvel Rasmussen on March 29, 1996 who preceded her in death on Aug. 6 2004. Edna has 18 Grandchildren and 45 Great Grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Saturday June 10th at 9:00 AM with funeral services to follow, at 10:00 AM at Leavitts Mortuary located at 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah 84403.
