Edward Raymond DeCarlo, 69, passed away on March 19, 2022, at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Home in Ogden, Utah. He was born August 11, 1952, in Brooklyn, New York to Joseph DeCarlo and Clara Jane Hebbeler. Edward graduated in 1971 from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California.
Ed was especially proud of his military service in the United States Air Force as a Technical Sergeant and Air Force reserve of 20 plus years, also retiring from the Bureau of Reclamation of the US Department of the Interior. In addition, he volunteered at the Salvation Army.
He liked to read, play card games, and watch TV and movies. He loved his family and especially enjoyed carpooling with his nephews and nieces after school. He loved music and enjoyed family events. He enjoyed his high school football team and was honored to be their equipment manager. His most prized possession was his letterman jacket. Ed loved his dog, Shelby. He also enjoyed dabbling with CB radios. He was a member of the St. James the Just Catholic Church in Ogden.
The most precious love of his life was his daughter Melanie.
Ed is survived by his father Joseph DeCarlo, and one daughter Melanie DeCarlo. He was the eldest of seven children. There are four brothers: Joseph (Jodi) DeCarlo; Michael (Debbie) DeCarlo; Thomas (Cheryl) DeCarlo; Robert (Cedric) Vaugh DeCarlo, and two sisters: Mary Jane (Joe) Ringel and Patricia (Todd) Konieczki. Ed is survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews too numerous to count.

The family would like to thank Bristol Hospice, nurse Ashley and staff, and the George E. Wahlen Veteran Home staff.
