Our beloved father, grandfather, and friend, Edward James Fitzpatrick, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2015 back into the loving arms of his dear wife and Heavenly Father. Ed was born on September 8, 1936 to Fletcher P. and Helen K. Fitzpatrick in Warren, Pennsylvania. Ed married the love of his life, Mary Helen Henson, on May 31, 1970 in Elko, NV. Prior to his retirement in 1997, Ed had been employed at Hill Air Force Base for 40 years, where he managed the mobile cafeteria trucks. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Some of his favorite memories were the many cross-country trips to North Carolina to visit family and friends. He was a member of the Catholic Church and no matter where he was, or who he was with; he always gave thanks in silent prayer to his Heavenly Father before each meal. Ed had a love for sports, and he especially enjoyed NASCAR and the Ogden Raptors! He thoroughly enjoyed collecting coins and putting together family scrapbooks and photo albums. Those closest to him will miss his clever sense of humor that was always on point, and his quick wit which always made people laugh. He found joy later in life playing pool with his friends at Teazers. He loved his family and friends dearly and we were all blessed for having known him. Ed is survived by his two daughters Linda Harris of South Ogden, Nancy Millward of North Ogden; four grandchildren: Shawn (Amy) Iverson, Jamie (Paul) Phippen, Troy (Kristy) Iverson, Andrew Millward and 11 great grandchildren. Ed was preceded in death by his loving wife Helen, his parents, and three sisters: Mary Sevy, Peggy Pearce, Pat Ellis and son-in-law John Millward. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:00 am at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 - 36th St, Ogden. Friends and family may call at the mortuary one hour prior to the service from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Interment at Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden.
