He remained a business man in Rock Springs until he retired in 1970. In 1951, Edward returned to LA for a brief time and met and married Elisabeth J. Stern, "Liesel", whom he married after a 6 week whirlwind courtship. They lived together in Rock Springs for 60 years and loved Wyoming and all their friends reluctantly moving to Ogden for health reasons so they could be closer to their daughter. They would have celebrated their 63rd anniversary this May. Ed and Liesel had 4 children, Adrienne, Jonathan, Janice and David. Edward was proud of his Jewish heritage and was a member of Congregation Brith Sholem. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sons Jonathan and David. Also survived by his sister-in-law Charlotte Friedman, numerous cousins, the entire Ward family and special friend Nate Squiers. Friends and family are invited to a short service and celebration of his life at the Ward residence, 1811 Wasatch Dr., Ogden on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at noon. A celebration of his life will also be held in Rock Springs, Wyoming in the spring.
