Edward L. Stewart's Obituary

Our dear father, grandfather, and uncle, Edward L. Stewart passed away May 21, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born to LeRoy W. Stewart and Alice V. Miller on October 22, 1933, in Ogden Utah. Dad married our mom, Verla J. Hart on September 28, 1951, in Plain City Utah, their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on October 8, 1954. After moms passing, he married Helen Wilson; they were later divorced. Dad worked at Hill Air Force Base for 36 years. He was also an excellent wallpaper hanger and painter until he lost his eyesight due to macular degeneration. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling with family at his cabin. He is survived by five children, Linda (Bob) Wood, Jeff (Joyce), Carol (Jeff) Draper, Connie Cole, and Theron (Vicki); 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. Dad was preceded in death by our mom; his parents; an infant daughter, Julia; brothers, Dave, Leonard, and Sam; his sister, Shirley; and one grandson, Clint. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Leavitts Mortuary, 836, 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services from 9:45 10:45 am. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park. Special thanks to Sam and Erin for helping us with dads care and Inter-Mountain Hospice.
