Edward "Jack" Young, age 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 1, 2015. Jack was born to John Young and Thelma Dickamore on November 3, 1940 in Hannibal Mo. Jack moved to Ogden, UT at three months with his family. Jack was a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy from 1957-1959. He was honored to serve his country. Jack was employed by Continental Baking for 20 plus years and spent the remainder of his career as a mobile community manager. Jack married Patricia Simpson and had two children; Sherrie Finstad (Wayne) and Darrell Young, both of Knoxville, TN. They later divorced. Jack married Joan S. Simpson in December of 1982. They remained loving partners until Jacks death. Jack graciously accepted Joans seven kids; Debbie Sosa, Clearfield, UT, Bradley Simpson, Roy, UT, Dana Prather (Tom), Lava ID, Diane Gallager (Mike), Monroe MI, Shelly Ellis (Dean), Plain City, UT, Stacy Chicago (Mark), Las Vegas, NV, and Jann Balderston, (Brett), Woods Cross, UT. In addition Jack is survived by sisters, Carol Christensen, Roy, UT and Athel Funky (Bill), Hurricane, UT. sisters in law, Jean Pledger, Lorraine Skeen, and JeNeal Thomas, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly. Jack loved golf, fishing, and dancing with his Joanie. Jack was always there for a friend in need and he touched the lives of so many.
