ElDean Van Buren Norseth was born in Moroni, Sanpete, Utah, January 5, 1927, to Elden Taylor and Effie Fay Hansen Van Buren. ElDean graduated from Manti High School and attended L.D.S. Business College. She married the love of her life, Lorin Keith Norseth, February 9, 1951. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Her greatest joys were her beloved husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends. ElDean loved taking trips, camping, dancing, playing her organ, visiting with her loving family members, relatives, and friends. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, crafts, genealogical work, indexing, and reading. ElDean loves her Father in Heaven, her Savior and the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served many positions in the LDS Church. Her careers involved teaching in Weber School District, Secretarial work, Realtor, and especially raising her family and homemaking. She was dedicated to church and volunteer work. ElDean belonged to the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, having five sets of grandparents crossing the plains, sacrificing much for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for which she was grateful. She is survived by the following loved ones: her children and their spouses, Michael Keith (Christine) Norseth, Steven Lorin (Barbara) Norseth, Susan (Walter) Ronayne, and Nancy Norseth; grandchildren, Brandon Garr, Jason (Kammie) Garr, Dirk Garr, Nicole (Adam) Jacobs, Peter (Taylor) Norseth, Michelle (Christian) Petersen, Clint (Sheri) Norseth, Ben Norseth, Cami (Cody) Taylor, Stacy (Michael) Roubinet, Corey (Kellen) Vandenberg, Angie Bechel, Trudy (Jeffrey) Eldridge, Kassi (Nathan) Leavit, Ashley (Gavin) McCleary, and Chelsea (Michael) Budge. ElDean is also the proud great-grandmother of 41 precious great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Keith; parents, and brother, Stuart Don Van Buren; brother, Elden Rue VanBuren; and a grandson Darin Keith Norseth. Services will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, on Friday, April 27, 2018, at 2:00 pm. A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and on Friday, April 27, 2018, from 1:00 to 1:45 pm prior to services. Arrangements under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.
