Obituary

Ella F. Taylor Gamble passed away on October 6, 2013 at age 90. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on July 1, 1923, the second of twin girls born to Fred Carl and Bessie Scott Samuelson. Ella married James Elmer Taylor in 1942 in Omaha and they later relocated to Ogden, Utah. They were active members of the Elim Lutheran Church. Ella was a checker for many years at Safeway and later worked as the bookkeeper for Mountain Oil Company from which she retired. Elmer passed away in 1968. Ella married LeRoy Gamble. Both LeRoy and Ellas twin sister Emma preceded her in death. Ella loved going to church, the color lavender, poodles and roses. Ella is survived by her son James E. Taylor (Barbara); daughter Elma Champneys (Weldon); two grandchildren, three step grandchildren, four great grandchildren and 10 great step grandchildren. A service will be held at 11 am on Monday, October 14 at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th St. in Ogden, Reverend DanaLee Simon presiding. Friends may call from 10 am to 10:45 am. Interment at Washington Heights Memorial Gardens will follow the service.
