Ellen Lathel Hayes

Ellen Lathel Hayes 92 passed away on February 15, 2020, from Kidney Failure at Davis Hospital.
Lathel was born March 8, 1927, to Joseph Lavier Morgan and Alverda Martha Rhoades in Cokeville, Wyoming. She grew up in Idaho Falls and Twin Falls Idaho.
On March 31, 1944, she married Madison Clarence Hayes, from this union two children born: Ronald and Deanna. The couple lived a short time in Twin Falls, Idaho and then moved to the El Cajon California area.
Lathel worked for Woolworths in the Jewelry Department and at a nursing home while Madison was in the service.
Lathel had a great love for children, so they did foster care for a few years, many children came in and out of their home. Madison and Lathel loved each and every one of them as their own. Later Lathel would do babysitting in her home in Twin Falls. She enjoyed Crocheting, Quilting, reading, camping, and playing cards.
She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions in the church.
Lathel is survived by her son; Ronald Hayes, and son-in-Law; Dale Allen, nine Grandchildren, 19 Great-grandchildren, and two great Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Madison, Parents; Joseph and Alverda, sisters; Carol and Marva, and daughter; Deanna Allen.
A Viewing will be held Thursday, February 20, 2020, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary 836 36th street, Ogden, Utah.
An additional viewing will also be held Friday, February 21, 2020, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at The LDS Chapel 667 Harrison Street, Twin Falls, Idaho.
Graveside Services will be held Friday, February 21, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. Sunset Memorial park 2296 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls, Idaho.
