Ogden- Our dear mother and grandmother Louise Van De Graff passed away peacefully Friday September 27, 2013. She was born December 23, 1927 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of Conrad and Manie Hansen Mueller.
Mom was a lifelong resident of Ogden where she enjoyed swimming, hiking and camping with her family. She married Edward (Ted) Glasmann June 18, 1947. They had one child Deborah. Louise and Ted were later divorced. Louise met LeRoy Van De Graff while skiing at Snow Basin Ski Resort. They were married January 27, 1955. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple. She was a member of the Birch Creek 7th Ward and served the Lord in many callings.
She is survived by four children Deborah (Glenn) Simmons, David (Janet) Van De Graff, Thomas Van De Graff, and Kim (Dan) Cornell, 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother (Jack) and infant daughter (Pelar).
Funeral services will be held Friday October 4th at 11:00 a.m. at the Birch Creek 7th Ward, 3680 Eccles Ave. Ogden. A viewing will be held Thursday, October 3rd from 6 to 8p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, and Friday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. She will be laid to rest at Lindquists Washington Heights Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the staff of CNS Hospice and Legacy Village of Layton for the kind and compassionate care given to Louise.
