Elwood Stanley Ohlson, 87 passed away, April 6, 2014. Ed was born August 22, 1926 in Ogden, UT.
Ed grew up on the north end of Ogden, where he had many friends and many adventures as a boy.
When he was older he enlisted in the Marine Corps, where he proudly and honorably served in World War II. After the war he married the love of his life, Ramona Pope. They had two daughters upon whom they bestowed the most wonderful lives. Dad gave each of them a legacy of love and laughter.
Ed is survived by two daughters, Janet Ohlson Villarruel (Ronnie), Suzanne Ohlson-Kenyon (Brian), two lovely granddaughters, Carrie and Alison, and his brother and best friend Jerry (Peggy).
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ramona, two brothers and two sisters.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT.
Family will greet friends at Leavitts Mortuary, 836-36th Street, Ogden, UT., prior to graveside from 1:30 -2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the George E. Whalen Veterans Home in Ogden, UT.
