Emil Hennau passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the George E. Wahlens Veterans Home surrounded by his family. He was born May 20, 1927 in Castle Gate, Utah to William and Bessie May.
Emil was married to Patricia Ann Lein on December 28, 1950 in Salt Lake City. She passed away November 7, 2007.
Emil served in World War II as well as the Korean War. He had a great love for airplanes, fishing, camping, hunting and geology. He loved spending time with his grandkids.
Surviving are his children: Thomas Emil Hennau, Mary Ann (Greg) Gift, Patrick Graham Hennau and John (Lacey) Hennau; grandchildren: Allison Anderson (Lacie Barnes), Alanna Ferreira, Heather Michelle, Sierra, Savannah and Sawyer Hennau; great grandsons: Aiden Rodarte, Emiliano Ferreira.
We would like to express our greatest appreciation to everyone at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Home for all the love and special care they gave to our father. He was as special to them as he was to us. Also, special thanks to Alyx, Angie, Jenna and Dr. Holland from Comfort Worx Hospice for all their help and support.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 1:30 pm at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 2374 Grant Avenue, Ogden, Utah.
