Emma May Welter Badali, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away in her home on September 24th, surrounded by her devoted family. Born in Connecticut, the second youngest of eight children, Emma grew to love family, nature and the seashore. She married Joseph A. Badali in 1948 and began a family, and in 1971 Emma, Joe and the children moved to Utah. As Emma always put others needs in front of her own, she spent thousands of hours volunteering and helping others in the community. She had many close friends.
Emma is preceded in death by her mother, father and all seven siblings, her beloved husband of 63 years and many of her friends. Emma is survived by her sons Paul J. Badali (Melody) and Boyd A. Badali (Diann); her daughter Debra Wickizer (Wayne); 11 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
Emma will be remembered for her kindness, infectious smile and fun-loving spirit. Her passing leaves a great void in the lives of those who knew and loved her. In keeping with her volunteer tradition, the family encourages a donation to your favorite charitable organization in lieu of flowers.
Cremation under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.
