Emma Grace Callantine, 92 of Ogden Utah, peacefully left our presence on November 2, 2014, surrounded by family and friends. Emma Grace was born September 25, 1922, to loving parents Edward and Minnie Meakins in Linn County, Iowa. She was married for many years to the love of her life Walter R. Callantine. Emma Grace was quite the jokester, even nicknaming herself the "Goofy Grandma." She loved sewing, knitting and doing needle point. She prided herself for the elaborate Christmas socks she made for her family and friends, many of which she donated to charity. She volunteered over 30 years at St. Benedicts Hospital. She was a Lady of Elks and Daughter of the Niles. Emma Grace was an avid sports fan who loved following her sons and grandsons sporting events. They family would like to thank her special friend Gwen Dezember for the love and concern she always showed over the years. Also, to her "Target" friends that she met every Tuesday and Friday for a Coke. Emma Grace is survived by her children Dave (Nancy) Callantine and Ed (Jerri) Callantine, four grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and eight brothers and sisters.
