Erna J. Ravenberg, 97, passed away September 27, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 16, 1920 to James Peter Jensen and Ida Mable Miller in Lyman, Wyoming. Erna graduated from Morgan High School, Morgan, UT. She married the love of her life Antone Elias Ravenberg in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on February 12, 1941. Mom was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked in the name extraction program of the church, researching Spanish names for 27 years. She didnt know any Spanish when she began, but became very proficient in a short time and found thousands of names and it became her passion and love. She really loved and cared about others, especially her family, and was always doing something nice for others. At the age of 90 she went to California and took care of her daughter Sally during the last 2 years of her life as she battled cancer. She loved to travel and was able to see many beautiful places. Mom was a dental assistant for 27 years. During the last two and a half years of her life she lived at Seasons Assisted Living where she made many wonderful friends. We want to thank Seasons and their staff for their loving care and kindness to her and also thank Comfort Worx Hospice for their kind and loving care. Erna is survived by her children: Irene (Ralph) Martinson, Glenn (Kathy) Ravenberg and Earl (Jeri) Ravenberg; 11 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren. Erna was preceded in death by her husband, Antone; daughter, Sally; grandsons Danny and Adam Ravenberg; and all of her siblings: Fernando, Arvis, Alvin, Ida, Vinnie, Lucy, Delbert, Wendell and Lorenzo. Funeral Services will held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th St., Ogden, UT. A viewing will be held Wednesday October 3, 2018 from 6:00 8:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary and from 10:00 10:45 a.m. at Leavitts prior to the services. Interment at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
