IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Estella Larae
Hansen
June 11, 1934 – July 18, 2025
Estella LaRae Hansen passed away peacefully at her home on July 18 at the age of 91. She was born in Pocatello, Idaho on June 11, 1934, to Raymond Lassen and Stella Frugoli Hansen. She graduated from St. Mary of the Wasatch High School and embarked on a 36-year career with the Internal Revenue Service in Ogden.
LaRae was known for her kindness and compassion. She cared for both of her parents throughout their lives, taking early retirement from the IRS to become a full-time caregiver to her mother. She was a good listener and a trusted friend. She was blessed by the love of dear friends Bob Harper and Millie and Don Gunther.
She loved history and was an avid reader. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, loved old movies, and loved watching the Chiefs and the Orioles with Bob. She loved to laugh – really laugh!
LaRae is survived by her brother, William Lloyd Hansen, who lived with her and cared for her; niece Cheri (Paul) Richardson, and nephews Mike (Roxanne) Arave, Mark Arave, and Brad (Wendy) Arave. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother George Hansen, and sister JoAnn (Kent) Arave.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude and appreciation for LaRae's caregivers at Active Home Health and Hospice: Nicole, Ronda, Zac, Tiffany and Mindy.
