In loving memory of Ester R. Garza.
With heavy hearts and deep love, we're saying goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Ester. Her passing leaves an empty space that could never be filled, but her love, kindness, and strength will live on in all that were blessed to know her.
Ester was born in Midland, Texas on September 28, 1949. She retired from Midland Memorial Hospital and the Midland CSI Sherriff's Department. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Ester was called home on February 7, 2026. She is reunited with her son, Kenneth C. Garza, and husband, Jose Homer Garza, along with her mother and father, Manuel and Maria Rodriguez. She also joins her brothers, Pete and Adam Rodriguez, and her sister, Anita Rodriguez.
Ester is survived by Homer "Homie" Garza, from Ogden, Utah, Geraldine "Gigi" Rodriguez, from Big Spring, Texas, 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and her brother and sister.
A viewing will be held Friday, February 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah 84403. A celebration of life will follow on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5127 South 2400 West, Roy, Utah 84067.
