Evangelyn Irene Rees, 77, passed away, May 23, 2015. Vangie was born June 17, 1937 to Emlet and Mary Streight in Kemmerer, Wyoming. Vangie graduated from Ogden High School. She married James Dee Rees in Riverton, Wyoming. Vangie was an avid seamstress, cook, baker, and arts and crafts enthusiast. She enjoyed gardening, camping, dancing, and traveling. She belonged to Ayuda en Mexico, in which she travelled each year to help deliver food and clothing to the poor. Vangie is survived by her children: Terry D. (Lien) Rees, Lynnette Rees Kennedy, David E. (Maggie) Rees; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Vangie is preceded in death by her parents, Emlet and Mary Streight; husband, James Dee Rees; brother, Bohn Streight; and daughter, Charlene Rees. A Viewing will be on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
